DESOLATION

Light shines upon the shadows
Revealing the grimmest of sights
Wonder is there anyone left alive to show
Motionless victims lay, In pools of fluid they
Expelled mucus, Lymphatic and blood
Lifeless as they lay down
Attracting the rats and the mice
Who once they prey on them also expire
Body after body waits, In the makeshift mass graves
Laying rotting and festering

They didn't even have time to bury their dead
Dropping like flies as they came to their end
They didn't even have time to bury their dead
As the sickness spread amongst them they failed to escape

Scores of open graves now litter the countryside
The ones who escaped never made it too far
The anguish that they felt is clear to be seen now
All across the lands the scenes are the same

The harrowing sight of endless pyres
They tried to burn it all away
As evidence spread throughout - There would be no escape
They fled
Anyway hoping that some sort of sanctum could be reached
It struck them down as well
All engulfing
So clear there could be no emancipation from
The fate of all the others
It drives them to endure hell

Passing throughout the wasteland
A scene descript of pure agony
Hoping and fucking praying
That they would reach some form of sanctitude

Burn in hell

They didnt even have time to bury their dead
